Fontaines D.C. Share New Single 'Tongue'

Fontaines D.C. are in full album mode, sharing new single ' Tongue', the latest taste of their upcoming fifth studio album Dopamine Chamber, out Friday 16 October via XL Recordings.

First aired during the band's recent live set at Brooklyn's Kings Theatre last month, 'Tongue' follows the previously released 'Marianne' and is an interesting industrial rocker with traces of trip-hop.

Speaking about the recording process in a press release, guitarist Conor Curley said: "We continued where Romance left off, leaving the live-band elements until they were really needed."

This involved Conor Deegan manipulating the tape speed of the bass while Carlos O'Connell ran Grian Chatten's vocal through a sampler and altered its pitch.

The track is accompanied by a music video directed by John Angus Stewart that was filmed in New York City.
